How the throwing taster sessions work:-

My throwing experience sessions are a fun, safe introduction to throwing and are proving to be very popular at present.   These private sessions are ideal for 1 or 2 people, each taking turns at throwing (same price for 1 or 2 people), and are held at my home studio in central St Albans. At the end of the session you will select your best pieces for firing & glazing - for collection about 6 weeks later. All creations will be dishwasher safe.

Costs : 1 hr £65; 90 mins £95; 2hrs £120

I do a limited number of sessions each month, term time – usually Fridays & Saturdays – which book up very quickly.

On the day:-

• Parking is in Walton street (no permits on a Saturday, nor 11:30 -13:30, or after 2:30pm on a Friday). We are at the end of Walton street (corner with Sandpit Lane - RHS) AL1 4DQ

• Best to have short nails, and clothes you are happy to get muddy/ apron; Also remove all rings bracelets & watches if possible.

FAQ - the answers

• Any age can take part.  My youngest potter was 14 months (although admittedly he did prefer playing in the water)

• yes, I do gift vouchers. They are valid for 12 month
