Note: these are the same as my normal 90 minutes throwing - but are reserved for families as it is during school holidays. Families can reserve 'normal' sessions too. How it works:- My throwing tasters sessions are very popular at the moment and book up quickly. These private sessions are are held at my garden studio in central St Albans and are perfect for individuals, pairs or small family groups. All my teaching is fully supported/ 1:2:1 which means we all share the same wheel and take turns throwing. The price is the same regardless of the number of potters taking part. The price is the same regardless of the numbers taking part. However the fewer people, the more time each person will get on the wheel. In your booking, please specify the number of people taking part and the ages of the children (if any). You can make as many pots as you like during the session, and at the end you will select only the best for firing:- >2hr session - includes 4 pots for firing >90 mins session - includes 3 pots for firing > 1hr session - includes 2 pots for firing Additional firing is possible - £6 per pot (up to 500g). You can decide on the day. Glazing requires drying, bisque & glaze firing and typically takes 6 weeks. All creations will be dishwasher safe. I will contact you when your creations are ready for collection. Owing to limited storage space, pls collect soonest. Long unclaimed items may get donated On the day:- * We are on the corner of Sandpit Lane and Walton street - just up from St Saviours Church. My studio is the black wooden barn with the dragon on the roof * Parking in Bernards Heath area is limited. Possible space may be found on Heath Road/ Walton street - we are the the end on the RHS. (note: no parking permits required at weekends, or Weekdays: 11:30-13:30 or after 2:30pm). AL1 4DQ. * Note: Walton street is a ONE WAY system from Boundary Road, the WROG WAY with no entrance from Sandpit Lane (note - Parking on Heath road also possible) * Best to have short nails, and clothes you are happy to get muddy/ apron; Also remove all rings bracelets & watches if possible.
